The IEW is delighted to celebrate another outstanding year of working closely with Line Business Services. It has been another very productive and rewarding year for both organizations, as the partnership flourishes.
Line Business Services continues to provide a highly professional service to the Institute. Members have enjoyed a rise in the number of cases they have been instructed to act in and all administration processes have been excellent.
IEW members continue to be instructed in a number of high profile cases, both civil and criminal, in the UK and abroad. The number of solicitors that engage IEW members has increased considerably, as well as many re-engagements from previous clients.
IEW members continue to be instructed in a wide range of cases, including highly publicized military incidents, playground injuries including death, school and club trampolining injuries, private and community based fitness facility injuries, catastrophic gymnastic injuries, and playing field injuries in both primary and secondary schools, and in the adult sports sector. Injuries to Claimants have ranged from simple bone fractures and lacerations, to serious spinal injuries and death. Support to the legal profession has also included a range of management cases in educational establishments.
